FAQ- aka Frequently asked questions

What does iGadi mean?

iGadi is the Xhosa word for garden. So, Garden-Market or Market Garden, if you prefer.

How do I place an order?

If you would like to purchase an item, click on the "add to cart" button. Once you are happy with the items in your cart, you can then "proceed to checkout" There are a few steps, so that you can review your order and enter the correct delivery address.  Please do not try to add/subtract from your order after it has been made. The deadline for orders is on Wednesday 9pm- this is so that we can get the order to the baker, so your bread is fresh. If you order after the cut off time - your order will be delivered in the following weekly cycle. If you experience difficulties, please use the chat feature to talk to us - we can help.

Possible problems: Please do not  use the Wix app for shopping: it does not work and is far from ideal.

Another problem area is with addresses. If your address causes the system to malfunction, try putting in just the name of your street. It tries to match with google maps and if it can't, it can reject the transaction. You can always give us detailed delivery intructions in a message.

Orders outside of our area
We are happy to receive orders nationally from outside our delivery area. We can send dry goods via courier (health and beauty, gifts and preserves etc) Please note that there will be an additional charge to cover the courier which we will inform you of.
Payment and Shipping
Payments are all made online. We don't really want to be using cash. Delivery is free for orders over R 450, otherwise is charged at R50 per household. Please give as much detail as possible about delivery address at the time of ordering.
Please make sure that somebody is at your home when we deliver.
Secure Ordering & Payment Options

The website is secured using SSL technology. Your card details are not stored by us, Wix or the payments company. You can choose to pay using a bank card or by secure EFT at the checkout. Both routes are equally secure and safe.

Returns & Refunds

Sometimes we get things wrong - we are human. If this has happened to you, such as the wrong quantity was delivered, please let us know and we will do our best to make it right.  If there is a problem with the quality of the stock, please let us know and we will pass that information on to the supplier in question and seek to come to a mutually satisfactory agreement. All of our suppliers are freelance and are responsible for their goods.
